CALENDULA EXTRACT (CALENDULA OFFICINALIS)
Key Ingredients:
“Calendula” extract is the proper name for the extract of the flower commonly know as the marigold (or Calendula officinalis). Thought to be native to the south of Mexico, but now growing in abundance and in varying formats around the world, it is a member of the Sunflower family. Loaded with flavonoids and saponins, this extract is effective when added to plant oil formulas.
Why we love Calendula extract?
We love it due to its soothing and moisturising properties. Calendula extract is great at overall skin-conditioning. It can help calm redness, and it also supports the skin in healing and repair. As well as this, calendula extract helps to deliver and lock-in hydration, and corrects dryness, resulting in a more even skin tone.
Which Votary products you can find it in?
Calendula Flower Extract appears right across the Votary range. You can find it in our Rose Maroc and Sandalwood Facial Oil, Jasmine and Calendula Facial Oil, Super Seed Cleansing Oil, Super Seed Facial Oil, Super Seed Nutrient Cream and Antidote Bath and Body Oil.
In Votary facial oils, it soothes and moisturises. In our Super Seed range it works with the twenty two different seed oils to to normalise and re-set skin. In our Antidote Bath and Body Oil calendula extract works to combat dryness, and helps the other ingredients to add lustrous softness to your skin.
