Watermelon seed oil (Citrullus vulgaris) is cold pressed and refined from the seeds of the African watermelon. It grows in the Kalahari desert and has pale green flesh and a bitter taste. The melons are harvested and then split open and their seeds collected. The watermelon seeds are then naturally sun dried until there’s almost no moisture left in them. They are then cold-pressed to produce a rich, golden-coloured oil. Watermelon seeds are rich in Omega 3, 6 and 9 essential fatty acids and also has a high content of linoleic acid which is a potent skin-conditioning and restorative.
