Beautiful Colour For Sensitive Skin

I trained as a makeup artist, so I’ve always loved colour and makeup, but when we created VOTARY, we started with skincare because, even as a makeup artist, healthy, radiant skin was always my starting point. 

And 11 years on, we have finally bought my two passions together.

My philosophy as a makeup artist was always that the best makeup shouldn’t disguise your skin. When your skin is healthy, you really only need two things: light and colour.

Because even when your skin is in really good condition, it can sometimes look tired or a little flat. As we get older, we naturally lose some of that colour and luminosity from the skin. You don’t necessarily need more coverage, often you just need to put a little of that light and colour back.

I wanted makeup that doesn’t ask you to compromise your skincare (particularly if your skin is sensitive) and that lets your skin still look like skin.

We’ve started with two things I use all the time: a beautiful, light-reflecting skin product and a really easy lip and cheek colour.

They’re very easy to use, even if you don’t wear much makeup. You can apply them with your fingers, use as little or as much as you like, and they just make you look fresher.

Nothing complicated. Just really good colour, beautiful skin and products you actually want to use every day.

I wanted Luminous Skin Liquid to give you that lovely light-reflecting quality that healthy skin naturally has.

It’s sheer and incredibly easy to use, with just enough tint and luminosity to make skin look fresher and brighter.

And then you need colour.

Lip and Cheek Tint is a really easy, buttery balm that you can just pat onto your cheeks and lips, then blend with your fingers.

It gives you that instant wash of colour that makes your whole face look fresher.We’ve made it with hyaluronic acid, avocado oil and shea butter, so although it’s a colour product, it has that lovely nourishing, comfortable feel you’d expect from VOTARY skincare.

There are three shades: 

Tea Rose – choose it if you love a peachy-pink shade
Sandalwood – choose it if you love a pinky-brown shade
Cherry – choose it if you love a ruby-berry shade

Wear Lip and Cheek Tint sheer for a barely-there glow, or layer for deeper, dewy colour.

I’m always thinking about sensitive skin when we formulate at VOTARY, and our colour products were never going to be any different.

I wanted them to feel as good on the skin as our skincare does – comfortable, easy to wear and something you can reach for every day without thinking twice.

Both formulas are dermatologically tested to be suitable for sensitive skin, as well as vegan, cruelty-free and made in England.
