We use recyclable glass bottles which also work to preserve our luxurious oils from over-exposure to sunlight and heat. The glass pipette vials can be carefully separated and put in glass recycling. Our plastic pumps are currently not recyclable and we are looking into alternatives.

Our products are packed using brown recyclable paper.

Votary products are made from a combination of organic and non organic oils and botanical actives, with our priority being the quality of each ingredient. Some of our chosen oils and ingredients are not available organically, or are of inconsistent quality when organic. We hand-pick the best quality ingredients for the best possible results.

Intense Night Oil contain retinoid which should not be used during pregnancy. All Votary skincare contains less than 2% essential oils, with the exception of Hydrating Body Oil and Antidote Night Oil. Some women prefer to avoid essential oils and fragrance during pregnancy.

Free from fragrance allergens is the accurate way to say fragrance-free. Super Seed Facial Oil, Super Seed Serum, Super Seed Nutrient Cream, Super Barrier Balm, Radiance Reveal Mask, Nutrient Cream Light, Super Sensitive Cleansing Cream are all free from fragrance allergens and are designed to be used on even the most sensitive and delicate skin.

Votary Intense Night Oil contains a particularly gentle, oil soluble form of ester retinoid called Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate at 0.2%.

If you are using the Intense Night Oil, we advise using them only at night, and we advise against using any other products which contain retinol. We also suggest you use a daily SPF as skin can become more sensitised to sunlight with retinol use.

Products containing retinoid should not be used during pregnancy.

⚠ Caution: Natural plant oils boosted with proven-effective lab-made retinoid. Avoid use during pregnancy until the third trimester and avoid use whilst breastfeeding. Sunscreen must be worn during the day if you are using this product at night.

We recommend using a daily SPF whatever skincare you are using. Our facial cleansing oils are brilliant at removing every trace of it, so you can protect your skin from UVA and UVB during the daytime without congesting your skin or making it dull over time.

Palm oil derivatives are present within some ingredients in Votary products. Every ingredient we use is RSPO certified. We continue to work with all our suppliers to source only the most environmentally responsible ingredients in keeping with our vegan and cruelty-free status.

Yes, some do. Furthermore, all Votary products are bottled in facilities which handle other products which may or may not contain other allergens.

Roaccutane can make skin dry and sensitive. Any fragranced products – even naturally fragranced ones – are best avoided. Our Super Seed Facial Oil, Super Seed Nutrient Cream, Super Seed Serum, Super Sensitive Cleansing Cream, Nutrient Cream Light and Super Barrier Balm are fragrance-free and so can be used by Roaccutane users but we suggest careful patch testing on an area of your neck for a few days first.

Not at all. Natural raw ingredients can vary greatly in colour and fragrance. We make all our products in small, fresh batches. This means that there can sometimes be slight differences in colour and fragrance which is in keeping with their natural origins.
